IMAT Last-Minute Revision Checklist
The final week should protect score, timing, and confidence. It is not the moment to replace your whole study system.
Biology
Prioritize cell biology, genetics, human physiology, evolution, and basic biochemistry. Review diagrams that link structure to function: membranes, mitochondria, DNA replication, transcription, translation, meiosis, and organ systems. Make flashcards for mistakes, not for every sentence in a textbook.
Chemistry
Stabilize formulas and recurring patterns: moles, concentration, pH, bonding, redox, equilibrium, organic functional groups, and reaction energetics. Practice units. Many lost marks come from using the right idea with the wrong conversion.
Physics and math
Do a compact formula pass: mechanics, electricity, fluids, probability, algebra, and graph interpretation. Focus on recognizing which formula applies rather than memorizing long derivations.
Reasoning strategy
For critical-thinking questions, identify conclusion, evidence, and assumption before reading the answer choices. Avoid answer choices that are true but irrelevant.
Test-week routine
Do short timed sets, review errors, sleep consistently, and prepare documents early. On the exam, skip questions that become time traps and return later. Blank answers can be rational when guessing penalties make blind guessing costly.
